2.Paris: Louvre Museum Entry with History of Mona Lisa

★★★★★★★★★★3.9 · 2,823 reviews · 1 day · from $74

Meet a host at 162 Rue de Rivoli, enter the Louvre through priority access, and hear a short introduction to the museum and Mona Lisa. Guides such as Jade, Emma, Sofia, and Rebecca have helped visitors find the painting and plan their route before leaving them to explore independently.

“What it says on the tin. Was worth the cost since tickets were sold out the day we wanted to go, but if you’re the type to arrive at 9am anyway the lines at the Louvre are normally not long enough to justify a skip the line ticket at this cost. Certainly worth it later in the day. Our guide gave some great historical facts about the building and collection on our way in.”

“The trip to Normandy was so good. Being in a small group was worth the extra cost. There was just so much I didn’t know. We went to Pointe Du Hoc where soldiers had to climb the cliffs, they trained for 2 years to do this. It amazes me looking at it now how they managed to do it. With erosion there is a good chance the area could be closed within 5 years. We saw the Normandy American Cemetery. A peaceful and emotional place to visit. And we stood on Omaha Beach. The tide was out. Soldiers were brought to the beach, they had to get from the water…”

“Our guide spoke too fast and with his accent it was very difficult to understand and enjoy. Everyone in our group felt the same. I asked him to slow down and he ignored my request. Also the tour was o e hour less than was advertised. He did not walk with us and update us nor make himself available for questions as we walked. In 20 years of using Viator, this was the most disappointing tour.”
